ACLS Experienced Provider (EP) Course

The American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support -  Experienced Provider course is intended for health care professionals with significant experience in resuscitation critical care/emergency medicine.

  • Hypothermia
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Trauma
  • Toxicology
  • Lightning & electrical shock
  • Pregnancy
  • Acid-base and electrolyte disturbances

  • ACS & 12 lead ECG analysis
  
This is a course designed for experienced providers. The course assumes that you have significant experience in critical care resuscitation and are familiar and capable of performing the following actions which are NOT included in the course:

  • Formal instruction on placement of advanced airways
  • Formal instruction on rhythm identification & ECG interpretation
  • ACLS Algorithm review
  • BLS Algorithm or Skills review
 

 The ACLS EP course is for providers who are currently ACLS or ACLS EP certified with significant amounts of experience in the field of resusitation. Please note that this class is designed for providers who routinely practice in the field of critical care resusitation and MAY NOT be used as a first time ACLS certification course.  This course explores the concepts of ACLS and resusitation techniques in an intense, group format. This course MAY be used to recertify either an ACLS or ACLS EP card.

Successful performance of both the pre-course ACLS exam and active participation are required for your completion cards. An ACLS and ACLS EP certification card will be issued to students who succesfully pass the course.
