SMART Track AED Inspection Instructions

To log your monthly AED inspections in SMART Track:

  • Go to http://www.smarttrack4.com
  • Log in using your username and password. If you do not know your username or password, please contact Megan Krentsa (contact information below)
  • Click the "Inspections" tab on the left-hand side of the screen
  • Click the "View All" button to display the list of AED(s) at your location
  • Click the word "Activity" next to the unit you would like to log an inspection for. A window will pop up with the unit's history

Every month, the system automatically generates a new Activity sheet for the AED since it expects an inspection sometime that month and lists the status on the inspection history as "Open." In order to log an inspection for the current month, do not click "Add Activity." Instead, click on the blue bolded ID number for that "Open" inspection. An inspection form will appear.

Enter your name as the "Inspector" and enter the "Service Date" as the date the AED was checked. Use drop-downs to confirm that the AED is in good condition (the little green light in the upper right-hand corner of the AED is flickering) and that there are no obstacles near the AED. Then click "Update Inspection."
